There are real life crimes from the recent past that I can use as plot hooks for catching a dangerous Shadowkind villain. There's virtual reality tours of lots of other locations that I can use for other types of adventures too. There are virtual reality tours of museums and art galleries that I can use for players to search for clues in a mystery adventure in this setting. :)īut with d20 Modern, I can just use Google Maps and all of the floorplans and building layouts and maps from today (all easily accessible from the net). I'm kinda new to gaming and I have enjoyed reading some of the D&D novels but could never quite work myself up to playing a game in any of the traditional settings (Forgotten Realms, Eberron, Dark Sun, or Dragonlance) although Ravenloft has often tempted me (I love the scary and spooky stuffs). ![]()
